“Switzerland for Everyone” tells the story of how the campaign unfolded in Zurich.
On Saturday, August 19, 2023, the “Russia of the Future – Switzerland” community organized its event in Zurich.
The rallies under the slogan “Putin – murderer” were organized by the team of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. The date was chosen because three years ago, on August 20, Navalny was poisoned with the nerve agent “Novichok” during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow.
The “Putin – murderer” campaign aims to draw international attention to the ongoing situation in Ukraine, which has been lasting for a year and a half. The campaign calls for scrutiny of Russian policies, aggressive behavior, and violations of international norms related to the actions of Russian military personnel in occupied territories.
Participants in the Zurich rally expressed their stance and joined the international movement demanding an end to the conflict, respect for human rights, and accountability for crimes.
